Terms and Conditions
Please remember that this is my business. These terms are not legally binding, but I trust you to respect the terms and conditions below. When you buy lessons with me, we enter a verbal agreement. I promise to teach you English, and you promise to comply with my terms and conditions. Thank you for understanding.
1. Cancellation policy
You can cancel or reschedule a lesson before 8.30am (UK time) on the day of your lesson. If you cancel or reschedule after this time, you will be charged 100% of the lesson.
2. Lateness
The lesson will start and finish at the agreed times. You must be on time for your lessons. Please do not be late. I will wait for 15 minutes. If you have not arrived in 15 minutes, I will cancel the lesson but you will still be charged.
3. Online lessons
If you take online lessons, please make sure you are somewhere quiet, without distractions and with a reliable connection. Use a laptop or tablet if you have one (it’s better than a phone because the screen is bigger). Please use a headset with a microphone if possible.
4. Refunds
I do not issue refunds.
5. My cancellations
I will be available for your lessons. However, if there is an emergency that means I can not make it, I will let you know before 8.30am (UK time) on the day of your lesson. You will not be charged if I cancel a lesson.
6. Terminating lessons
I expect you to comply with these terms. I also expect you to be polite and respectful during my lessons. If this is not the case, I will cancel your lessons with me and explain why. If you purchased a package, I will refund you 50% of the remaining lessons.
7. Price increases
Sometimes, unfortunately, I will need to raise the prices of my lessons. You can continue to use any lessons that you have purchased but after these end, you will have to pay the new price to renew your package. In some cases, I may be able to make an agreement with you regarding the price of your lesson. Please contact me to discuss this.
8. Expiry
If you stop taking lessons for 6 months, your lessons will expire. If you want to continue, you will need to register as a ‘new student’ (and go through the free consultation again).
